After graduation, time spent in Tucson working alongside design/build firms refined a practical understanding of how thoughtful plans translate into livable, lasting outdoor spaces. Those years shaped a design philosophy rooted in structure, plant layering, and seamless indoor-outdoor connection.
Kanvas Landscape Design was created from that foundation- blending architectural awareness, ecological sensitivity, and intentional living into landscapes that feel cohesive and enduring.
Now based in Boise, Idaho, life revolves around designing purposeful outdoor spaces throughout the Treasure Valley- while free time is spent traveling, hiking, coaching gymnastics, and adventures with her husband and two daughters.

I’m
A deep respect for the outdoors began early- growing up in a small town in northern Arizona where open landscapes shaped daily life. That early connection eventually led to studying interior design in Scottsdale, where an understanding of proportion, materials, and spatial flow took root.
But it was outside where everything clicked.
Several seasons spent as a Wildland Firefighter, traveling across the country, deepened an appreciation for ecology, restoration, and the powerful relationship between people and the land. That experience ultimately led to pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Arizona State University- combining design training with environmental awareness.

In the Treasure Valley, where soils, sun exposure, and seasonal extremes influence every aspect of the landscape, planned design prevents costly revisions, supports ecological success, and enhances long-term enjoyment.
