About
Kheri Armer-Newell
I strive to build a relationship with our clients so we can design an outdoor space they will enjoy for years to come.
We believe outdoor spaces should be more than beautiful—they should tell your story, evoke emotion, and nurture your well-being. That’s why we created our signature approach, rooted in intentional living, sensory design, and emotional connection.
With a strong foundation in design education and years of experience, I’ve honed a process that blends artistry, function, and meaning. Every project is a collaboration—an opportunity to craft an outdoor space that reflects your essence and elevates how you live, gather, and connect with nature.
Growing up in a small northern Arizona town, I fell in love with the outdoors early on. After studying interior design in Scottsdale, I realized my true passion was outside—so I spent several seasons as a Wildland Firefighter, traveling the country and discovering a love for restoration, biophilia, and ecology. That led me to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture at Arizona State University.
After graduation, I moved with my family to Tucson, where I worked with design/build firms to refine my skills in creating thoughtful, functional outdoor spaces. That experience inspired me to start Kanvas Landscape Design, helping clients bring carefully crafted, personalized landscapes to life.
I aim to balance interior elements with outdoor living, creating cohesive spaces that feel intentional and lived-in. Now based in Boise, Idaho, I spend my days designing with purpose—and my free time traveling, hiking, coaching gymnastics, or sipping coffee with my husband and two daughters.
